Solar Panel Suppliers
In America alone there are many suppliers and manufactures of solar panels. However, due to the availability of electricity in USA it is not a commonplace practice to have solar panels as source of electricity.
In Africa and Asia various companies have shifted their European market and gotten into the African market where the energy sector is still struggling to develop. French companies have appointed suppliers in the local African market to sell their products. They have been able to penetrate the market and made substantial sales, and to offer an alternative to the electric energy which is quite expensive to have installed.
Kenya leads in East and Central Africa for the use of solar panels, increasing in the past five years.
However, supplying solar panels to retailers and wholesalers is an uphill task since most have developed cold feet over the viability of the solar panel as a product in the African market. This was due to the fact that solar panels were regarded as expensive and only affordable to the very rich in the community. But with the gradual development in the third world, suppliers are making money and increasing their niche globally.
