Solar Panel Costs
In the recent past, solar panels have been very expensive. However, due to the implementation of energy policies and reforms the cost of electricity has been drastically reduced, forcing the cost of panels down as well. An 80 watts panel was selling at around $1500 but now sells at just $1000.
An RV 120 watt solar panel is currently retailing at around $1300 in the US market and slightly higher than that in the Sub Saharan market. These prices are not only good news for consumer pockets but are helping many consumers cut their electricity bills drastically.
According to analysts and financial experts the prices of renewable energy will go down in the future as nuclear power demand surges up, drastically reducing the cost of renewable energy. This will make solar panels cheap and very accessible to the public.
Still, many suppliers are slashing prices and offering packages that are not only very appealing but save the customer a lot on accessories related with installation. Most solar panels come as a kit that has screws to fasten the panel; a battery, a couple of bulbs, connection wires, an adapter and a meter.
