How Do Solar Panels Work?

A solar panel applies the same principal as a generator, but the difference is in the composition of the internal mechanism of generation. A generator uses a motor to generate through electromagnetism principals while the solar panel uses the chemical composition of minerals to compose a unit which when exposed to sunlight converts the light energy into electric energy. A photo voltaic cell is made using silicon elements. The silicon chip is light dependent and when exposed to the sunlight it generates an electric current, as such it is powered by the solar energy.
